I went to J'anita's today for their last horrah. They opened for a Pirate breakfast buffet at 10 and by 10.30 the place was packed. I'll miss my breakfasts there.

I am sure it has been functions of the drunkenness of the situation rather than anything the bar provided more than another would. More just chance that we ended up there (one time in particular after the most recent Kiss show at the Arena where we were all red-faced from being too close to the pyrotechnics).
And Avenue was one of the few bars on St Charles open in those few weeks after Katrina - especially when I needed a morning cocktail.
