Re: Those Little Freeze Dried Shrimp

Re: Oriental Triangle / Tchoupitoulas Plantation

Thanks for the info guys.

The bar at T-chops with Sam the bartender was a legendary watering hole. Only the Absinthe House is meant to last forever.

Oriental Triangle / Tchoupitoulas Plantation

It has been over 20 years since I was in that area, but Friday I have to drive down to to see a customer who is in the Jefferson Hwy area. Is the Oriental Triangle still sitting at the base of the HP Long bridge? Is it still as good as it used to be? BTW, while I'm asking, did anyone ever do anythin...

Re: Got Into a Fight With My GF at the Grocery Store!!

Whole Foods is part of Hillary's VRWC (vast right wing conspiracy). By overcharging environmental-organic-leftist suckers for their groceries they don't have any money left to give to MoveOn or Obama. Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's are members also.

The BR Advocate's Terrible Restaurant Reviews

You would hope that the major newspaper in Louisiana's capital city, a city that aspires to be "a tourist magnet in its own right", would have some semblance of a real restaurant review column, check this out: http://www.2theadvocate.com/entertainment/fun/34037759.html Notice anything unus...

Re: Romantic Restaurants

I know of at least one child that was conceived in the parking lot of Ye Old College Inn when they had curb service in their parking lot, in the late 60's I think.

Does that count as romantic? Does the College Inn still have curb service?

Re: Would you like some politics with that po-boy sir..

In BR having a TV in eating places is an epidemic, usually loudly interrupting my peaceful meal. However, my daughter heard my complaint once and bought me a very clever gadget, a small universal remote that turns off TV's. I keep it in the car and I know the places I will need it. Here is a link to...

Re: Message from Karen and Horst at Middendorf's

That is great news, we seem to lose a traditional restaurant every month, glad to have one roar back. I might have to play hooky and run over for lunch next week.
