Recs at Stella!

Going for first time this weekend. What great things are there to be had from their menu? Tending away from the tasting menu, although I'm sure that would be great experience.

They are insured and plan to rebuild from everything I'm reading in paper and hearing from friends who know the owner. Quite a fire though - continued into yesterday afternoon.

Marrero cuisine comes to Baton Rouge!

Our local bizness report says that "Wags" will be opening a downtown BR location. Never heard of them, but described as " "Southern classic" dishes, such as gumbo, fried seafood, crawfish cornbread and stuffed bell peppers." Sounds good - anyone familiar with this place...

So how is this place? I've heard of it, but never been. Now they'll be almost in my "hood." :cool:

I've had a 30 bottle "Haier" for several years - pleased with it. Very basic, but that's what I wanted.

Bummer! I didn't see the prime rib sandwich on the list for this year. I can't remember who did it (I think it was the Rib Room) but it was awesome. Odd - just looking at the list on Times Pic website http://blog.nola.com/festivals/2009/04/jazz_brunch_menu_released_for.html They DO list the Rib Roo...
