I am at the Wyes Premium Beer Tasting at Nola Brewing Co. If you are anywhere within driving distance you should come. Tickets are 50 bucks. But the sheer awesomeness of this thing is beyond description. If u like beer, you should be here.

I'm drinking a Yuengling that I had to import via Mobile and I just watch the Tigers have a 6 run inning to take a 7-4 lead in what is now the top of the 6th. I'm fine where I am.

But there is a tasting at UNO tomorrow, right?

Got my own beer tasting going here. Andygator. Wow. I love NOLA's brews, and not so much Abita beers, but Andygator is just too good. Watching the Tigers, too. Top of 8th. Tigers are smokin'!

I would love to try all of the Hitachino Nest beers if they are there. I had the Pale Ale (white?) at a nice bar on rampart. They said they were the only people in the state to have it. It was unbelievable ! do you think something like this will be at the beer tasting ? love to try 'em all instead of driving all over town.

Not true. Little Tokyo on Carrollton Ave has 2 of the Hitachino Beers - the White Ale and another one.

But I agree - they are interesting beers, although about 3 of them is enough.

The Abits Satsuma Wit is as good as advertised. The Huevos guys were cooking sausage and putting it on sticks. There was a home brew there, the guy made a Vanilla Porter which was probably the best beer I had all night. I had to leave early as my protege is studying for the bar exam and was having a bit of a crisis. So I met him at Bruno's for some drinks to get his mind off how f-cked he thinks he is.

You had me at sausage on a stick.

I heard the NOLA Brewery Hopitoulas IPAs were amazing. I can't wait to taste what they put out.
