I really want to support local businesses too.

I go out of my way to do so, am ok with paying a higher price for the most part - if I have to and it feels good to do biz with the locals.

But never, ever, mess with my over easy eggs!

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to visit NO. We stopped at the Fat Hen Grill for lunch. We loved the music and the atmosphere of the place. I ordered the cheeseburger with fried pickles and my husband ordered a womlette. My burger was the best I have ever had! It was huge, juicy, cooked perfect and with a wonderful flavor. The fried pickles were perfect. I couldn't stop eating them! My husband's loved his womlette and said he would definitely order it again. He got the one with ham, bacon and cheese in it. He said the bacon had a great flavor and the syrup was pure maple syrup. The womlette was huge and he couldn't finish it, but was very impressed and begged for the recipe. I also ordered the pistoccio shake and I don't think I have ever had a better shake. The flavor was fantastic. In my opinion, this is a great diner with upscale food at a low price. I wish we had one in Arizona. We will return to this place when we get back to NO.
