Oysters

Post by Kass »

I know this topic has been addressed before, but I guess I didn't pay attention. Husband and I will be in NO for several days this week, and we love oysters on the half shell; where can we find the best? Thanks for any suggestions.

Luke does .25 oysters from 3 to 6pm. enjoyed 6 dozen w/friends Friday night. considering the crowds for Friday Gras, we were seated immediately and service was great.

Luke is great for oysters, especially their happy hour. Felix is good downtown, ask for Big Mike. Cassamento's uptown as well...last time I had them they were plump and good but not salty at all.

Yeah Cheese, the special is every day. It's one heck of a deal. Half priced drinks and $0.25 oysters. YUM.

At 333 St Charles, 3 blocks from Canal St., steps from the Intercontinental. :toast:

it's covered w/scaffolding and viewing stands right now, but you can still get in thru the front door or thru the hotel.
