I picked up 10#'s from Chubby's on Friday. (that place does a TON of business!)
They were $3.99/lb...although there were no visible veggies at all, they were the best I've had in a long time.
Great in my omelet on Saturday morning, too.

Drove by Vince's Seafood on Lafayette in Gretna and they had a sign out for $2.89/# for live ones.
The website says $4.50/#

LOL, you got it neighbor. I like to get them on Tuesdays or Fridays...depending on how close you live to me, you should be able to figure out why. ;)

Yo Mama's on Saint Peter just started boiling them again on weekends. Fair size for this time of season.

I'd like to keep this going to track prices as we get into the season.

I had some on Saturday from K-Jean in mid-city. $4.99 a pound boiled, I'm almost embarassed to say, but saw them and had to have a few pounds. They were good-sized, but I don't think I've ever paid that much in my life.
Have the prices spiked with the beginning of lent? Or are they cheaper elsewhere?

Oh, that's great to know. They do an amazing job!

The weather has been horrible for crawfish, and they are always higher at the beginning of lent. Prices should drop as it warms up.

On the WB

4.99 @ Zydeco
5.25 @ Perino's

Had Perino's last night.
They are good. And the crawfish boudin is really nice.
But I'd still rather go to Zydeco.

Anyone been to Sal's lately?
