I like Serrano's in Clearview Mall and also Blue Tomato. Carretas has the most delicious Mango Margaritas evah! The food isn't that great there, but the margarita makes me forget all that.
Now this is more like it.

We like Casa Garcia too...they have great margaritas and a really good bean dip.

If you are looking for good, inexpensive Hispanic food done by Hispanics for Hispanics . . .

Viva la Taqueria Sanchez!

That homey, mobile trailer-like Sanchez on the service road off Clearview is really good.

I have recommended it to many . . . including several chefs . . . and all have thanked me.

Warning: You must be there for the food . . . the atmosphere is like a negative 10 . . . right down to the televisions playing Hispanic network television non-stop.

If you are looking for Hispanic food done for Metaire "gringos" . . . like fajitas . . . can't help you.
