One terrific seafood house

Post by josemama »

think the place is a terrific seafood house. That some things are better than others is normal. Name a restaurant where this is not true. But we hold successful restaurants and people in our town to a much more stringent standard than less successful ones, and have a penchant for picking at them excessively. All restaurants widely recognized as tops in their field get this. LeRuth's, Ruth's, Commander's, Emeril. . . you name it.
This was TF's reply to criticism about.....

Ruth's for sure and it's not a far stretch to call Emeril's a chain. Not to say that means it is an inferior product, unless of course you don't advertise on nomenu. In that case you suck and only the unwashed masses would consider dining there. Personally, I'd rather starve.

While Ruth Chris fits my definition of a chain (multiple outlets serving the exact same menu), the other two do not. I just looked at the menus for Commander's NO and Destin and Emeril's NO, Orlando and Miami Beach. While there are a few dishes exactly the same, the rest of the menu is completely different abeit using some of the same proteins.

Yeah, I find it a stretch to call Emerils and Commanders chains also.

Mcdonald's, Burger King, Rally's and many others do not serve the same menu at all locations. They are controlled by the same mother company. I have seen many of the same items at different Emeril's. Commanders has had four locations I believe, governed by the same family/theme.

PNG, What's into you???

You are comparing McDonald's, BK and Rally's to Emerils and Commanders??WTH?

So, I guess each Emeril and Commander's location forgoes local ingredients and indigenous products and personal input by their sous chefs (much less EC's) and has an 18 wheeler back up to the loading dock every other day to unload their menu items to be cooked up to their customer's expectations.

Does that mean you are just as willing to dine at an Outback, or a Chili's or a BK, as opposed to or any of the aforementioned fine dining restuarants, depending on what mood strikes you.

Huh?

Just because the headquarters may be consolidated to streamline and organize operations doesn't mean that the menu and the uniqueness has to suffer because operations are under one roof.

While I am not what you would consider a regular at any of those restaurants, your response makes it obvious that you post just to see your name.
