Bohn Zone

Post by Oyster »

Great weather for the Zurich Classic today too! Even Rod Stewart came out to enjoy the day at the TPC. For the food at the Champions Club, here is a rundown:
Drago's- What else? Char-broiled oysters. Nuff said, can't be beat!

Mr. B's- Scallop & Grits - great new item. I ate the nice scallop and dumped the grits after a wee taste. I have no use for a grit.

Arnaud's - nice fried green tomato on bed of fresh greens, topped with a chilled crawfish salad. Very nice. Called Crawfish Bourgeois.

Galatoire's - Classic Shrimp Remoulade with 20/30 shrimp. Very good.

Emeril's - Pork Belly sandwich with slaw and Bread & Butter Pickles. OK for me to pick at. WAY too much fat on pork belly for my taste. Wife loved it.

Outback - Pork Tenderloin with nice sauce and Fresh Green Beans. Not bad...not bad at all.

Ruth's Chris - Beef sandwich. Nothing to write home about.

Zea's - Crawfish Pasta. Nawww. Just picked the crawfish out.

And drinks...drinks...and more drinks...

Leaving the course, I ran right into Rod Stewart on number nine green. He had just walked up, watched for a minute, then took off down the fairway with a lady. I was dissappointed. She should have been quite a few degrees hotter. May have been Maggie May, as she must be about mid 60's now.

Funniest thing of the day was wife and I walking out, two young hotties walking in for closing festivities. Chick 1 says to chick 2 "well, he's not too much to look at. He's short, bald, no personality and not very good looking. But the one thing he has going for him is that he is worth mega millions!"

Hell...I might consider the toothless wonder that won the $225K Powerball in Misszou last week if I had enough Gentleman Jack in me...

I saw Rod(look alike) while I was exiting Zurich yesterday. Had to be a look alike, that dudes face was cherry red from the sun. I'm sure that the real deal would have had much hotter girl with him too.

Oyster sounds like you ate at the Champion's Club, I enjoyed almost all the food in there. I don't get the pork belly thing at all. Way too much fat on a sandwich?

Wow! Must be the look alike. However, does he sign autographs as Rod Stewart? Had some kids getting them. He was trying to get away from the crowd too. Took off on his own headed to the back of the course. One of the clubhouse employees with him just threw up her hands and walked back to the clubhouse.

Guess I'll never know for sure...

edit: Wait...thanks J-RO for the confirmation of the fake.

That what I was thinking. I was standing ten feet from the guy for a little while on 18. By buddy didn't believe me when I told him it was probably just the runner named Desmond.
