Anyone out there computer savvy?
My Dell desktop produces no sound - for about 3 months now.
I have checked all connections, volume settings and software installations.
I even tried another set of speakers...
Any suggestions?

I highly recommend the gang over at Worldstart:

When I get into a jam, they never fail to help.

Have you done any updates? Check Dell's website for any info. I highly recommend not calling customer service until you have to. When we did for my sister's Dell, I could only understand every third word the guy said. I should have known when he said, "Hello my name is Bob. How am I to be helping you today?"

Re: Computer audio help?
Have you looked in the device mgr to see if your sound card is working?
Re: Computer audio help?
Go to Dell and put in your service tag. Even if it's not under warranty, it pulls up all the specifics to your computer. I would update the drivers for your sound card first.
Did you switch monitors? When I got my flat screen, I had to update my sound card and graphics card to get it all to work.
