I'm heading to Charleston Tuesday morning. I've never been and am really looking forward to checking out what looks like a fun, quaint town.
Has anyone had any great dining experiences there? I'll be staying downtown on Meeting Street in a hotel where General Robert E. Lee once walked the halls.
I'll be there til Sunday morning (don't worry, I get home before the noon time kickoffs) so any breakfast, lunch and dinner recommendations would be great.
Thanks!

“I'm sure when Peyton Manning was growing up he always wanted to throw the TD pass that gave the Saints a Super Bowl win," Jorge Arangure wrote. "Now he has."
Re: Charleston Dining Scene
I went a few years ago and LOVED it. Great town, great history, great architecture, great food -- it's a lot like New Orleans (I mean, if New Orleans were clean, well-run and had an awesome mayor). I got a lot of tips from the forums on fodors.com; don't know if you've ever tried them but they have a lot of very active users and are quite helpful. When I went, the top recommended places from a chef friend were McCrady's and FIG, both of which I went to and enjoyed very much. Also heard great things about Grill 225, Charleston Grill, Slightly North of Broad (which goes by "SNOB"), Gaulart & Maliclet (which goes by "Fast & French"), Hominy Grill, Jestine's Kitchen . . . .there are so many highly-thought-of places that I guarantee it'll be hard to narrow them down. Have a wonderful time!

Went to a great place on Broad....looked like an old store made into a restaurant with a counter in the back facing the cooking....really tall booth backs...all in 1930's-40's decor.
Sorry I don't remember the name but ask the locals.
