A quick in and out this AM at Coulis in the old Bluebird site on Prytania near Touro. Inside is pretty much the same as it was. I thought I would be dining in near solitude arriving around 6:30 AM. Wrong. Three tables were already occupied and there were three folks at the bar. By the time I left a bit after 7:00, ten tables were occupied. Pretty standard breakfast fare - omelets, bagel w/ lox, eggs creole, huevos rancheros, etc. I got the huevos at $8. They were good, but nothing to write home about. Service needs work: I only received one cup of coffee that was never refilled and the check never came, had to go up to the counter to cash out. I'll give them a beginner's pass for now and try some more of the menu another time, but if the huevos are an indication of things to come, this is not a place I will be waiting in line for. But then, I didn't wait in line for the huevos at Bluebird, either. Gourmondo is getting too old to wait in lines.

I don't know if I even posted about when I went Sunday morning, but it was pretty much the same as yours. Food was good (I had heuvos rancheros as well) and service needs some work. The others at my table liked their breakfasts as well and I imagine would agree the service could use a little help.
It's still very new, I'll definitely give them several chances since I know the owners and pretty much everyone working there.
