Warehouse District this weekend

Post by RouxTheDay »

Just a heads up that the Red Dress Run is Saturday.
Headquarters is Ernst Cafe and The Renaissance Hotel.
Festivities started tonight.

I imagine the restaurants in that area will be pretty busy ...and with some rowdy folks at that!

I heard that 4,000 were registered as of yesterday afternoon.

I ate at Ernst today and saw the sign on their door. They were pretty busy.
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

RDR had a preview run tonight! They packed Pat O's between the Piano Bar and the Patio. Just a few hundred at most. Will be unbelievable with THOUSANDS (5G perhaps??? Amazing!) all about the quarter tomorrow! I had to inform many people screaming "LOOK AT THAT DUDE IN THE DRESS" this evening what the hell was going on. Even after lenghty explanation, I still had a few "blank stares." :toast:

Sometimes I wonder why people come here, when totally clueless? Guess thats how they learn...

By 8.30 yesterday morning I was seeing men in red dresses everywhere. From the street car up by Broadway to the tracks down around Lee Circle, they were everywhere. Same when I was on my way home from work around 7pm, everywhere. It's always a fun event, bummer I missed it this year. At least I got to see them getting started and stumbling back towards home.

By 7:00 Saturday night, there were still a few hundred diehards next to Ernst listening to CheeWees, or who ever dresses in those dumb costumes and plays music. Had several in Harrahs using facilities, etc. Had to laugh when huge guy comes into Mens room with red dress and heads to first stall available...:D Alot of double takes!

They were still around when we started the walk for Dirty Linen night at 7:00pm in the Quarter.

I think the band was Bag o Donuts btw. But I heard there were going to be more than one band. I know they dress in really strange clothes.

By Jove! I think you've got it! Bag of Donuts! I couldn't think of that name at all, and I really wasn't sure.

Thanks Yvette!
