John Lee Hooker clip from a recording in 1965. Looks similar to a building on Baronne and Melpomene. Sign on building reads crayfish instead of crawfish.

Do you know this location?
Re: Do you know this location?
No idea but great clip. It's weird to see him standing up. And not wearing sunglasses.
Re: Do you know this location?
Looks like the place on Magazine and Napoleon...or is it Magazine/Louisiana?

Re: Do you know this location?
Looks like it could be what is now "The Club" AKA Mae's; Napoleon and Magazine- Downtown river corner.
Re: Do you know this location?
I don't think that it's The Club (aka Miss Mae's). It's a one way street, judging by the parked delivery van, where Napoleon would be located.
I'm going to the library this afternoon, and will look up Tom's in old phone books. I am thinking that it's in Treme, back in the mid to early 50's, judging by the cars and the signs on the walls and banquettes.

Re: Do you know this location?
Thank you all for your feedback. I like this clip and I am curious about the background.
Re: Do you know this location?
I did go by the library, but I was too late to get upstairs (their hours SUCK and not being open on Sunday really SUCKS-but, I digress, sorry). I'll go up there tomorrow and find the place and, with any luck, maybe some better photos once I find the address. Usually, once you nail the street address, you can find all kinds of stuff.
Re: Do you know this location?
I see many mentions of Tom's Bar and Lounge online, but no mention of the address.
