Marie Antoinette Hotel

Post by gumbo lover »

Anyone know anything about the current status of this hotel? Is it in good shape? They are offering $40 rooms in July and a friend is thinking about taking his kids for a few days. More money to spend on other things if the hotel is that cheap, but I'm suspicious. Thanks

If you're talking about the St. Ann/Marie Antoinette Hotel then I would go have a look first...I was told the rooms are crummy.
For $40 it may be worth a place to flop for the night.

Thanks, Jerry, but never mind. Someone just gave them an apt in the Quarter to use. I couldn't figure out how to edit the thread title to change it to "never mind".

On the same subject.... just got an email from the Prince Conti. (my regular hotel) Until mid September, they're offering $59 weekday/$69 weekend room with FREE PARKING (normally twenty bucks) and a free Bombay Club martini!

Now, that's a deal! Nice rooms...perfect location.

As our Dr. Culasso (gp in Slidell) said, "Ants will appear at his picnic".

Stem Cell Collection was successful.... sent us home on Sunday, only to call on Monday saying that Dr. Safah wanted to admit him. Now. Infection in Sunday's bloodwork.

Effing staph infection. F*ck. It's starting already.

Thanks for asking, honey. If I can find my blog addy on this computer (friend in Metairie) I'll post it. Same sh*t that you probably see every day. *sighing*

I have another friend that turned her sailing blog into a cancer treatment update too. Sounds like a lot of "stuff" happening right now. Hopefully this will quickly pass and you can get to your routines soon. I will keep checking your blog. When I saw staph, I thought unoh...got it from the equipment....there was a report ont he news last night about a VA hospital that sent out letters to patient's who got colonoscopies and could have contracted aids, hepatitis, etc.....it was not a good report. Hopefully everything is now straight with Dom. Makes you want to tell everyone to go right to the sink and wash their hands, and being your own sterile things with you.

Thanks for the updates, good thought and prayers to you both.
