Napoleon House

I ate at Napoleon house yesterday and it was very tasty and a great deal. They have Po-boys for $5.95 and a whole Muffuletta for $12.

I was there for drinks last week with an old friend and it is a great place for such rendezvous. I always enjoy my visits there. I even like the warm muffaletta, although 'some' sneer in derision. Unfortunately, I get the sense that the post-K closures of 6 PM are now a permanent fixture? :(

I adore the Napoleon House. I'd eat there every day if I worked closer.
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

I took my niece there last night!
We were drinking beer but we shared a Pimm's cup because I insisted she try it. She's 21 and I'm sure she would never have gone there on her own.
We did the spinach dip in the bread bowl and shared a whole muffelata which was way too much. We boxed 1/2 of the muff and proceded to leave it on the table! She was really bummed about that because I told her that if we had leftovers we'd give them to one of the folks on the street-which was a new concept to her.

Aside from the waiter forgetting that we already ordered when he checked on us 30 minutes after doing so, it was wonderful. He brought the food out very quickly after that so it wasn't a huge deal.

Good stuff. I don't know why I don't go there more often.

I'm a fan of the warm muffaletta, too. And Pimm's cups.

I like the Pimm's Cup too. I always get one with the muff. I know that is a bizarre combo, but hey.

I once told my waiter one evening that my 85 year-old mother used to go there on dates in the 40's. He said, "yeah, she's probably still waiting on service!".
