Red beans and rice. Us Texans don't know any better than to eat it on Tuesday.

Left over Tri-Tip with a fresh vegie - broccoli - and maybe potato salad.

Had $7.77 Local Senior's Dinner Buffet last night at Grand Sierra Resort (formerly the MGM Grand, Balley's, and the Hilton in that order), for my Birthday (12/08/1941 - I claim to be the "original War Baby"). :toast:

I had black bean soup. Spiced it up with some minced white onion, a dollop of sour cream, some shredded cheese and a handful of jalepenos. With a grilled tortilla on the side. It was yummy.

For dessert, a Maine blueberry muffin with Smith Creamery butter...oh my goodness it was sinfully good.

Spiced roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and meatloaf.

Mediterranean Chicken Salad on a long raw carrot slice as an amuse bouche.

Left-over Rump Roast, Mashed Pots, Peas, Cauliflower.

Made huge pot of Chili for the cold night tonight. It will go great with some St. Pauli and Hornets.

Last night I tossed Boston butt in the crockpot w/ some white onions, garlic, green chilis, a jalapeno, some Herdez Salsa Verde, black olives, cilantro, half a Meyer lemon and half an orange studded w/ two cloves. Gonna serve it tonight w/ some black beans and tostones (Twice fried plantains.) The house smelled great this morning, so I hope it's good!
