Best New Orleans Steakhouse
I'll be coming to town shortly after the Christmas holiday.
I'm thinking that I might like to go to a steakhouse while I'm town. Normally, I eschew steakhouses unless it's on someone else's expense account because I prefer to spend that kind of money on meals that are more interesting.
However, about a year or so ago, I did rather well at Harrah's and spent a large portion of my winnings at La Boca. To put it simply, I loved it and, I'm inclined to go back. It was interesting for a steakhouse. For comparison, now that Ruth's on Broad is gone, I'm not sure that I would find it all that interesting. (I.e., how much different would it be if I went to a Ruth's here in Houston?)
To the extent that I'll be free to range around the city, but would prefer to stay in the FQ and CBD, I'm soliciting suggestions of other steakhouse restaurants that would equal (or surpass if it's possible), the unique and wonderful experience expected at La Boca.
In advance, I thank everyone who has an opinion!

La Boca is the Barak Obama of restaurants. Upon its opening all of human history has stopped and there's nothing left to do but bask in its gloriousness.

Broiled Sea Scallops, Colossal Shrimp Alexander
or Jumbo Lump Crab Cake

Choice of One:
Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake or Key Lime Pie
(not trying to compare to La Boca, just a suggestion for the budget minded)

I love Crescent City and Charlie's both for their ambiance and local tradition. I don't think you will get the best steak/food at either of them, though.

The Outback in Harvey has a great sirloin special for $9.99.

Thanks for the suggestions of Charlie's and Crescent City. I've never been to either, but they fit the bill as something different than just another steakhouse.
I just might give Charlie's a try after we migrate from the CBD area to uptown...
Not sure about giving Outback a try, but if I were to wander out to Metairie, I suppose there's always Crazy Johnny's...

Yessss.... stopped into CJ's Sunday night for some filet love. Nice to see that the renovation quieted the place to where one can more easily converse, even with a full house.I suppose there's always Crazy Johnny's...

Re: Best New Orleans Steakhouse
I'd go to LaBoca again if I were you...BUT since you're asking:
If you're a prime rib fan, you should go to the Rib Room. I love everything about that place.
As for Ruth's Chris, the new one in Harrah's Hotel is really beautiful. The bar is a great place to watch football if you're so inclined. ...and since you're here during the holiday season you can take in the Fulton Street experience.
Enjoy!

Bah humbug on the Fulton Street thing. It's bubbles not snow! I guess it's still ok.

I like kids. They taste like chicken.
