SEE THE GREAT AMERICAN SEAFOOD COOK-OFF ON TV: Tonight at 7 p.m. on WLAE, Louisiana Public Broadcasting will air highlights from the fifth annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off, which was held in August at the Louisiana Restaurant Association's Foodservice EXPO. The show covers both days of competition and ultimately was won by a New Orleans native. Chef John Currence of City Grocery Restaurant Group in Oxford, Miss., took home the prize with his Mississippi Redfish Courtboullion and Seafood Dirty Rice. In second place was chef Brian Landry of Galatoire's Restaurant with his Louisiana Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet. Landry also won the people's choice award, which asked seafood lovers all over the country to vote on their favorite recipe.

Are you sure? TV Guide and the listings in the paper say that "Holiday Table With Chris Fennimore and DeDe Wilson" will be in that time slot. Even WLAE's web site has that same info. Will the highlights be part of "Holiday Table?" We'd love to see the Seafood Cookoff, if it's going to be on.

I made Brian Landry's shrimp and andouille cassoulet. Came out perfectly delicious. The recipe was in the TP right after the cookoff.
Don't know what I did with it after that.

No, not sure. It is a cut and paste from the Thursday Food section of the Times-Pic. It is listed in the food briefs.Absinthe-Minded wrote:Are you sure? Apparently, they must have made a mistake since you checked WLAE's info against it. Sorry for the possible bum info. Must be the first mistake ever by Times-Pic.
