Dinner at The Country Club

Post by Hadacol »

Went last night with some folks in town for the Tales of the Cocktail event.

What can I say? Service was perfect, food was sublime, and their wine list is small, inexpensive, and extremely well thought out. Have any of you been there? It's a very, well, interesting, place and that might put some folks off, but the food was extremely delicious. I had a roasted pork shank that had a sauce made from, I'm guessing here, white wine and sweet potatoes that was out of this world. As everyone at dinner was in the biz one way or another, and we have no fear of swiping food off nearby plates, there was nothing left but the plate when we were done.

I've been dying to try this place. Heard nothing but raves about it for months. Thanks for the report.

I'm a member of the club and am there frequently. I've considered the Thursday dinner...nice to hear you are going Pazz, I hope you enjoy it.

Everything I have had there has been very good. I love the duck flatbread, their burgers are good and however you want them, fresh cut fries, ect.

They even have Txolina (sp?, a Basque wine) by the glass (white and rose)...I never see that anywhere.

The lamb cappacio app is very good too...the first time I had it was pool side, served on a black plate and it was sunny out...it's much better on a white plate served in the cool dining room....guess I just wasn't thinking when I ordered it. LOL
