Not sure if I spelled that right but it's the poboy shop on Magazine St where Winny's used to be (not sure if I spelled Winny's right either). Anyway...it's good. I've now tried 4 of their poboys and the fries and onion rings. The onion rings are good but I think an order is way too large unless there are at least 4 of you there. The roast beef is good but very meaty, which for most people is a good thing...for me, not so much. The turkey is awesome. I'm thinking smoked turkey in a turkey gravy, sort of like the roast beef poboy, NOT deli meat at all. This is great. The fried oyster poboy very good but the Peacemaker is....well, a peacemaker, it's freaking beautiful. Perfectly fried oysters in cornmeal, bacon of the perfect crispness and American cheese to top it off. Just beautiful.

The fresh cut fries are very good too, they just crave salt

The service is basic. You order at the counter. They take your name and bring the food to your table. It hasn't taken that long so far.

I've made four trips myself.

JAG is right about the turkey, It's awesome. It's not deli turkey. They told me they roast the turkey on site, chop it sort of like debris, with a few bigger chunks, and make a turkey gravy. With swiss, it's awsome.

The meatballs are also good. They serve the sandwich with fresh buffalo mozz and red gravy.

The ham is just ok. I think they slice it too thick although the bread is good.

The fries are fresh cut and good. I haven't had the rings.

I'd say give it a try. I plan to again. The one rule I have is not to go alone. the order of fries is really a side dish for 4 to 5 people. I can't eat them all with a sandwich, they don't travel well, and I hate to leave stuff that good. Solution? Go in groups.

I read a review of this place, think it may have been TP last week, or Gambit. Believe the owner/chef is former Sous Chef from Rio Mar. The write up made it sound delish, though I will pass on the Peacemaker. Guess it's the cheese on my oyster thing...

I have found it takes a little while CopCop....each time I've gone it's taken about an hour from ordering to leaving...so save it for a weekend and maybe I can meet yall there!
