Cafe Adelaide "fast break", NOT

Post by jodyrah »

We were enticed by the "fast break" special offered before Hornets home games. 2 courses, cocktail to go plus free valet parking. We went at 5 to allow enough time for the walk to the arena. We were the 2nd party to arrive, 2 others followed. They were far from busy. It took 15 minutes to get a menu. Food service was equally slow. Turtle soup was ok. Shrimp/grits needs work. Hangar steak was not much better and luke warm. We made it to the game with 15 minutes to spare. Not fast and not particularly good. Looks like we'll eat at home before the games( sigh).

"It took 15 minutes to get a menu."...should have been your first clue. I realize you had already valet parked but after 5 minutes I would have been gone.

Retrieving our car then parking elsewhere (after figuring out where to dine) would have taken considerably longer. In addition we'd have to find parking near the arena afterwards. We were stuck.
