I don't understand who WOULD have a problem with that...unless they simply have a problem with ANYONE sharing off the same plate. That makes more sense to me than two men.

It wouldn;t matter if the men were heterosexual or gay.

Would be it be to try more dishes/variety? It seems to appear kind of "thrifty" on one hand. Maybe it's a double standard, where as with women or man/woman it may be more common/accepted.

That said, I prefer my own plate.

Also I've read on various forums some restaurants charge for an extra (empty) plate.

There is a certain intimacy in sharing food off of the same plate.

Quite frankly, I like it, it feels good and don't mind seeing it done.

It would never cross my mind that something might be wrong with the practice (or the people) if I witnessed 2 hetero men doing it or anyone else for that matter.

Nice to have you back, Bam.

I'm thinking that by "club", he's referring to Rick's...

I'm not going to judge what any two OTHER men do, but I wouldn't do it. Not with my father, brother, cousin, friend or my own son. If I were to share an entree with another man, I'll tell the waiter to bring another plate.
Then again, I wouldn't do it with any woman on the planet either, except my lovely wife, but she'll tell the waiter to bring another plate. :D

It all depends. If you're going to wash it down by linking arms to drink your cosmopolitans, then I think I would have to visually quarantine you from the rest of the dining room.

I was thinking this may have been at The Country Club on Louisa. I heard it was quite common there...not there's anything wrong with that...
