They were only off on my home value by $272,000. And they said these AVMs would replace appraisers.

Sources like this are partially responsible for the mortgage crisis.

Unbelievably off base on the value, even if I'm conservative. The value on the house next door to me was even more laughable.

In what direction was your (and Toddma's) house off?
Not defending the site, just curious what you think. I found my old house in NO and thought it was wayyyyyyyy over priced.

Mine was probably a little over on the value but my neighborhood has had some weird prices. I noticed a few of the houses they had dead on what was in the property transfer section of the T-P but then some have been renovated and are worth more now.
My hometown doesn't even exist on it. They must just have the major cities first. Scared me when it said my mom's house was worth $0, last updated Jan. 1905. But then I looked for my sister's houses and the site went down.
