Where to eat after White Linen?

Post by justagirl »

I'll be serving adult beverages at the Ogden from 6-9 Saturday night for White Linen. Assuming I'll be tired and hungry when I'm done (I definitely was last year) where should I go get dinner? I was going to do La Boca last year but my DC got sick and couldn't make it. I ended up at Zea....I rather not end up there again this year. I'm totally game for La Boca (duh, lol) but where would you go?

If you are out and about, stop by and buy a beer from me, say hi, and tip well :)

We went to White Linen last year. After 30 minutes in the heat, we ran back to Emeril's. It was insanely busy (six people at 4 tops) but the atmosphere was like Galatoire's before Mardi Gras and Christmas. I'd love to go back just for the dinner at Emeril's but I did not enjoy the heat.

I think I'll stay safely tucked away in Houma this year.

We also went last year and wound up on the shady side of Lucy's sidewalk. Frankly, the combination of heat, jammed streets and a few too many pushy drunks will also keep us away this year.

If we go anywhere, it'd be Uptown. I think Dick and Jenny's reopens this weekend. Or La Crepe. But we'll likely just be at the house.

Or the restaurant... which of course is the other house....we may try to make it to see you Jag darlin.... It'd be nice to put on a dress... oh shit nevermind, I don't own any white linen.

There were 5 of us working tonight and 4 of us ended up at La Boca for a fantastic end of shift meal. The restuaraunt was full when we got there. Two sat at the bar and two got a table. We worked hard then ate a great meal. Overall, a good night:) La Boca as always was quite satisfying and great.
