Honey island swamp band is great too. If you like country at all, Country Fried is great. On the northsore you have Christian Serpas and Ghost Town and Pat Catanna (sp?) who was Invisible Cowboy. Man I miss those guys.

I have heard of less than 1/2 of the people mentioned here, and don't know one song from any of them. (And I'm ok with that)
I do love early jazz/ragtime especially Jellyroll Morton.

Does anyone know a hip hop type song...somehting about NOLA, Love it or Leave it....I heard it on WWOZ Friday and loved it.

Turbo, most of the DJs list their playlists. Check the website and you can probably find it if you know around what time it was.

Jesse, I love The James Rivers Movement, Tom McDermott & Evan Christopher, David Torkanowsky, and alotta older guys that blow horns.
