Vincent's Uptown

Post by bam bam »

They had a very interesting special on the menu on Sunday. Wild Boar Ragu over some type of pasta. Not sure if this anything I want to order. As much as I like Vincent's, does anyone think they could pull this off with any degree of success?

I think Josh at A Mano could pull it off.
“I'm sure when Peyton Manning was growing up he always wanted to throw the TD pass that gave the Saints a Super Bowl win," Jorge Arangure wrote. "Now he has."

I haven't been to Vincent's in approximately 1,000,000 years, but a cinghale ragu isn't exactly culinary rocket science. If you doubt the kitchen's ability to do a (relatively) simple bit of cooking, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the menu. (Incidentally, I've had good luck using wild venison as a substitute for cinghale.)
