Hubig accident

Post by Gourmondo »

Hubig Pie truck in three car crash in front of the Gourmondo house today. Driver OK, not sure about the pies...oh wait there's a crowd gathering...oh, the humanity! Wait, NOPD is hauling off "evidence" to the evidence room...

I emailed them recently to ask if they were ever going to bring back their regular round pies (custard specifically). They said they were "considering" it. That custard pie in the brown box was one of the best things around.

No worries. Those pies could survive a nuclear blast.

Art, ya know I ain't allowed to tamper with the evidence....I was wondering why they needed to have four squad cars investigate this one...

Not necessarily. We used to live for 20Ps (accidents involving pastry) on NOPD.

In 2001, one of the drivers went in to a store to make his delivery, and came out to find his truck gone. Truck was later found, however the racks of tasty treats were missing. Felt sorry for the guy. Kind of embarassing to have another route driver have to stop and pick you up for a ride back to the office with no truck...

I miss the small baked 5" pies that sold for the same price as the fried. Not a fan of the fried. Hope those make it back.
