Another Fat Hen Grill?

Post by EatinAintCheatin »

Just passed the restaurant formerly known as Pellettierie's on Dickery in Harahan and they had a banner across it saying Fat Hen Grill. Anyone know what's going on here? The original Fat Hen is just a short distance away on Citrus. Seems like it would be too close for another.

I heard that the 2nd Fat Hen on Veterans in Kenner closed.

Kenner is closed. Their facebook page reports that both locations are "officially relocating to 1821 Hickory (formally [sic] Pellittieris [sic] Restaurant)" eff. 2/1. Preferable to unofficially relocating, I suppose. Citrus will remain open until 1/31.

My friend was in the Citrus rest. recently and told me the same. They are closing both locations (Kenner already closed) and relocating to the Pelliteri's site.

The one on Citrus is kind of small and there is limited parking...maybe they're expanding?

The Dickory location has more of a white tablecloth atmosphere. It doesn't really fit with the original theme of Fat Hen. I wonder if he plans on renovating the space to the 50's diner style?

Rumor has it he gave his wife a whole bunch of money to redecorate the place and it will open when she's finished.:D
