Post by Cocktailtime »

Next Friday night I will be staying at Loews with my hubby. Doing a little be a tourist in your own hometown. We want to walk around Fulton St. Suggestions on where to eat around there. We've done Grand Isle-ok not great IMHO. Thanks.

I love Emeril's and he has small plates. Could be a winner.

Emeril's would be in my bottom 3 of the list provided by EC. If you haven't tried any of Chef Adolfo's places, you're missing out. Since you mentioned small plates, consider A Mano for sure.

I'd also add August, Ruth's Chris, Windsor Court and Herbsaint to that list.

I have become a big fan of Cafe Adelaide, which is the hotel's restaurant.

Thanks for the recommendations. We will certainly do Cafe Adelaide. I may be going down early w/ some girl friends to Cafe Adelaide for lunch, I have been there before and do like it very much. Seems like we'll be deciding between A Mano, Rio Mar and 7 on Fulton for dinner. Now if we could just get rid of the endless rain so that we can walk around Fulton St. that would be great.

I'd knock 7 on Fulton off the short list. I haven't been impressed there in a while. And I hate to say that because I have a friend in the kitchen there. Just my 2 cents.

I too like Cafe Adelaide but haven't been recently. And ya'll know my feelings on Rio Mar and a Mano...
