Best/Worst Halloween Candy

Post by Low-N-Slow »

I'm not much of a candy eater, unless you want to count some high cocoa percentage dark chocolate to nibble along with a big red wine. But every year around this time I wax nostalgic for those treats we enjoyed as trick-or-treaters.

Favorites: Peanut butter kisses, Hershey Miniatures, Smarties, Spice Gumdrops

Dislikes: Candy Corn, Neccos, generic hard candies

OMG that is so cute!

A friend of mine is having a party the day after Halloween. We are all bringing whatever candy we want and she will deep fry it in the turkey fryer. Maybe I'll bring some Snickers.
I like kids. They taste like chicken.

Favorite: Gummies

Worst: The generic toffee like candy wrapped in black and orange wrappers, half them coming off.

This is what I give to the too old and too young that shouldn't be trick or treating. (the older teens that show up without a costume and their high school nap-sacks turned around to make a papoose to put their candy in, and the people that parade their 1-month old babies around in costumes asking for candy for the kid.) Call me mean.

Hate, hate, hate candy corn!

I do snatch all of the Mr. Goodbars from the Hershey's miniatures collection.

In general I hate most of the candy that only appears during the Halloween season. I stick with the classics.

We stopped giving out candy years ago for reasons you mention and some vandals. We had an old lady that came every year to collect for her grandbabies who were home with the chicken poxes. Every year? Get a new excuse lady.

Well, NOT giving candy is just an invitation to get your house egged so we give everybody something. I kinda enjoy listening to the reasons the adults give to collect candy for their kids that had to stay at home for ________(fill in the blank with your choice of ailment).
I just wish I had some government cheese to give them to go along with the whine.
