Ristorante Filippo..... feedback????

Post by NoNoNanette »

Hi gang....

Now that Dom's appetite is slowly coming back, I thought that lunch at Ristorante Filippo might be fun for him. (Ridgelake by the Galleria). Any thoughts? Blue jeans and tshirt ok for lunch?

Thanks. :)

I drive by that place every day on my way to work and have never even thought about going in....Is it worth it? Good question No No Nan.

Filippo is quite good and reasonably priced, although I have never been for lunch. Veal dishes and oyster app are all recommended. It's casual, but if a collared shirt is too much to ask for, go to City Diner instead.

I've been to Filippo three or four times over the past year and have had really good meals each time, and have had sexual intercourse afterwards.

If you say it was with the same woman each time, I'm not impressed.

I have been at least three times, unimpressed all three times. Not bad, just not worth going. Sorry. I know its close to you, but...

What about Byblos on Met Road, that is close to you.

It's funny, Yvette- my best buddy from Metairie (now in New England) said basically the same thing.... she'd gone on a date there, but wasn't impressed. I'll investigate Byblos. Thanks for the tip.

(Unfortunately, our patient was up puking all night from an allergic reaction to percocet prescribed for shingles.... presently in Poplarville.... will pursue Byblos upon return "home"):)

I've been once. Pricey and not that great.

For something similar and really great try II Tony's in Bucktown (right next to them big 'ol pumps on the 17th St. canal. Excellent "New Orleans" Italian food and great seafood. You can go casual. I love it.
