CO2 Doesn't Change Weather - Gazpacho Does

Post by Schuarta »

Weeks now of temperatures hitting 90° to 100° F each afternoon. :p

Hot August Nights is in full swing in Reno - restored old cars - girls in poodle skirts.

Time for gazpacho - summertime soup. :D

Wednesday afternoon, buy veggies, temperature 94°.

Thursday morning, make soup, still early, temperature 76°.

Thursday afternoon, sky clouds over, high winds move in, temperature drops to 56° F. WTF???

CO2 doesn't affect weather! Gazpacho does!!!

Man, we make a different Gaspacho, Art!

I use a V-8 base. Cherry tomatoes cut in 1/2s or quarters. Same veggies as you, but add minced Jalapenos and Celery. (enjoy the crunch)

Add some cider vinegar for a "kick" and float some olive oil on top.

PERIOD. No blending. I can eat that sh*t for days at a time...great diet food! I serve with Crystal hot sauce on the side.

Now, I'm hungry for some!:toast:

Not really. I used 5 cups of V8, not water. No Jalapenos, but Jalapenos sauce and 4 crushed and chopped garlic cloves. Three stalks diced celery. Added liquids - 1 cup Chardenay, ¼ cup olive oil, ¼ cup wine vinegar.

About to sit down for dinner. Gazpacho is the starter. Thanks for your comments. I'll put my recipe on the site tomorrow am.

Hope Dom is home and doing well.

Just a caution to Gazpacho makers. When you select the onion to chop, make sure you completely peel any of the "dry thin skin". A third of my onion had that peel which I didn't remove. Now when eating the finished soup, I keep finding small bits stuck in my teeth. :D
