Thursday Lunch

Post by tewino »

I'm in BR and my wife from NO. We're coming in to NO this Thursday afternoon for an elegant lunch (wife's birthday). We are big time foodies stuck in BR hell. Our last NO outing was supurb at Lillette's for lunch- great mussels. We're looking for something high-end. August was not open on Thursdays. I've heard Cuvee'. What do you think?

I love Cuvee. Are you staying the evening or having to drive home after? If staying, I say spend the afternoon drinking and dining at Galatoire's. Nothing beats a great afternoon spent there IMO.

Another option if you are not staying and just want to do lunch is Herbsaint. My last weekday lunch there was fantastic. Their specials this summer have been wonderful..I wish they'd stop emailing them everyday while I'm stuck in Metairie.

Galatoire's fits everything you're looking for in a birthday lunch destination!
