If you set up with Crescent prior to event, ask if you can get service using the Growler. It is their draught served in a half gallon container (think pitcher.) I know you could get it to go, but check to see if you can arrange it there for a private party. Upstairs may work. It will save alot of $, because I think they charge $20 for growler, while each beer is now...$8!!!!!

Growler equals 4-16 oz beers, so $20 instead of $32! WOW...60% increase!
Although prices may have changed.

I would suggest the Market Cafe on Decatur for a true new orleans experience. I had a group of friends in from out of town and they really did a wonderful job. It has a live Jazz band and a wonderful view, and the meal was quite good. If you speak with the owners they will set something nice up for you.

PS. I almost forgot they have indoor and outdoor seating.

A few places came to mind until I saw the shorts and flip-flop thing...I have to go along with a repeat visit to Deanie's if that is the case. They really do a pretty good job and it is about the nicest atmosphere you're going to find without socks and pants.
