Need suggestions

Post by RouxTheDay »

I have a group of clients that come to N.O. from Morgan City every year for a Saints game. Different vendors host them for different "meals" throughout their weekend in N.O. In the past, I have entertained them on a Friday or Saturday night, however, this year I have Saturday lunch on 8/15/09.
They are a group of 20-25 people who just want to have a good time. They stay in the Quarter so it has to be walkable. It also has to be very casual. We always have a great time.....
The only thing I can think of is The Court of Two Sisters. (save your speeches, this isn't really about the food...it's more important that they can get a Bud Light than anything)

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

If that's the case Crt of 2Sis should work fine. Bacco has a private room as does Bourbon House.

Well, if you really want very casual, this sounds like job for Deanie's in the Quarter. They have Andygator on draught (8% ABV), and the fried seafood is visually pretty impressive when they mound it up on po-boy bread or on those platters with french fries and onion rings. Just steer everybody away from the "entrees" like the stuffed shrimp, BBQ shrimp, etc. You guys can be loud and raucous if you like, and have a great time.

Actually, a big, frosted schooner of Andygator converted my wife, a confirmed BL drinker. But then, she's pretty easy...

Thanks AM, I've actually taken them to Deanie's before and it was wonderful. In fact, I think we've done it twice.

...I do think the tab showed more BL than Abita but I was trying to keep up! :D

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I was ready to book Court of 2 Sisters and put this to rest.
The client called me for something else and I said, "I'm working on the plans, where else are y'all headed that weekend?"
She replied: "Saturday night we're having dinner at Court of 2 Sisters."

I actually considered a street car ride to Mandina's but my boss isn't a fan of the cash only policy there.

I like the other suggestions but I'm trying to keep the cost down and they will definitely be in shorts/t-shirts/flip flops so Bourbon House and Bacco are out.

Any thoughts on Tujagues?

Nevermind, Tujague's doesn't open until 5.

I'm looking at Yo Mama's...I read that it's small but maybe I can see about Upstairs-?
I've never been. Would this be a neat place to take these folks?
