Mike's American Grill

Post by Double M »

Has it improved? :covri: Loved his place in the Quarter, G and E Courtyard Grill, but that was eons ago. The posts I have read have not made me want to try out his new location. Hopefully, enough time has passed and the kinks are worked out. If you have been and recommend it, please post.

If you all can find a post that Yvette made ealier this year about it, you can see one of the negative reviews.

Someone called Tom's show recently and said him and his wife went in on a Thursday night and they were the only two people in the place.
Not a good sign.

Thanks!
I've read the review, but was hoping things had currently improved.

I will not go over my story again, but I have heard from several sources, the incident that happened to me has been repeated, along with several other incidents not worth getting into.

Didn't someone on TFs board have a recent bad experience too?

FWIW, I've eaten lunch there a few times, and it's been good. Good food, decent service reasonable price. Nothing mind blowing, but a good lunch for Metairie (in the $15 range). I haven't seen more than a few tables in there at a time, but I haven't really had anything to complain about there.

I went to Mike's American Grill with 6 close friends for dinner last week and it was FABULOUS!!! I ordered a redfish special they were running that night and can honestly say it was the best I have ever had (if you knew how many times I have ordered redfish you would be impressed by this)! We ordered several appetizers for the table and each one was perfection. The calamari, the oysters, and the buffalo lollipops will not leave you disappointed. Two of us ordered the Blueberry martini-another best ever experience.

Not only is the food incredible, but the service was great too. All this coupled with the warm ambiance of the redesigned interior create a truely memorable experience. I can not wait to go back!!!

Sounds like you're quoting from a brochure. Glad to see the Uddo public relations machine is well-oiled and operating.
