Shredded Cheese

Post by kcdixiecat »

Okay, the kiddo wants to know why the restaurants in this area use shredded cheese on burgers instead of plain ole sliced cheese.

You get it free if you call right now and order the Slap Chop.

I already had a Gratey. I ordered the Slap Chop, and wanted to add Shamwow. They said "no dice."

I cancelled the order, and now I have to use a knife to make my Pico de Gallo.

Sucks... Just wanted one more Shamwow before the dude crashes and burns for good...

Because it tastes better. The shredded is cheddar while sliced is american.
Better quality cheese.

Because they buy it from Sysco like that. While I'm sure the restaurant owners can buy a hunk of cheese pre-sliced, it's likely more expensive that way. So yeah....you'll get grated and you're gonna like it. :whip:

LOL The shredded cheese doesn't bother me. Caleb, on the other hand...he has to check out the cheese on burgers everywhere we go. Weird kid. Wait, he isn't a kid....he's 22...I guess they're always kids to us.

I would think it would melt faster and it also looks better for presentation.

KC, a good place to go is GB's Bar & Grill. It's in the Riverbend on Maple St.
Nice shredded cheese, tasty burgers - get the grilled onions cooked a bit more.
This is one of the better burgers imho.
