In the old D'Angelo's location on Dalwill Drive across from Rouse's, is a placee called Biogio's (I think tha tis the name of it). A former employess stopped by my office yesterday and reccomended it. Not wanting to cook last night (I cooked on my BGE 4 times in 2 days Saturday and Sunday), I went and picked up a menu on my way home. They had a cooler with 3-4 flavors of what appeared to be house made gelato (although I did not get any).
I asked my two oldest if that was ok for dinner. After lookling at the menu, thety both said yes. I asked if they wanted to go, or take out, and take out was the winner.
We ordered spagetti and meatballs, beef canneloni, chicken parmigian and two pizzas (peperoni, sausage and onion and ham with mushrooms). All of the food was good. The chicken parm and the ham/mushroom pizza were the best of the lot, but as I said, it was all pretty good. We had a few smal caesar salads (came with entrees), good also.
While not a fancy place, and with a somewhat limited menu, this is a nice dnining option in the Mandeville area. The chef is from Naples. I will likely try another pizza this week. Good stuff.
New casual italian place in Mandeville
Re: New casual italian place in Mandeville
I'm trying to place this location - across from which Rouse's? Not East Appr - maybe Hwy 22 in that circular belt of shops? But I seem to remember D'Angelo's being on East Appr.

Barbara, D'Angelo's was on E. Causeway, then moved to DalWill (runs from 22 to W. Causeway). This is the Rouse's that was Sav-A-Center, with Town Crier, CC's Coffee, etc., now with First american Bank and Walgreen's on Hwy 22 side. Anyway, across Dalwill from Rous'es (maybe next to a karate place?).
Anyway, definately reccomended.
Anyway, definately reccomended.
