Re: City Diner
Nanette, we live in the neighborhood behind City Diner. There are some watering holes on Metairie Road that are close. With small children, we don't get out much but the range is from nice restaurants to small bars. You shouldn't want for anything

Re: City Diner
Once again, thanks for all of the positive reviews. To let you all know we currently have a full service liquior license, however we have been debating over the idea of going full service with it. We are currently offering several different beers and some wines. If we were to go full service with the bar what would you all like to see. We think the next step is probably doing bloody marys and mimosa's!

Re: City Diner
Jason, how might we be in touch with you off of this board?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: City Diner
I guess I need to get over there and try this place. After all of the posts I've read here I feel like I can write a review without even going...
Their website:
http://www.citydiner.biz/
has a pdf printable menu and a video clip with Lorin G. and the chef
For the cartographically challenged, the I-10/Causeway cloverleaf has four service roads facing it. They are named by their compass points i.e. NE, NW, SW, SE..(North is towards the lake)...the diner is on the South East one but in the address the South and East are seperated by "I-10 Service Rd"
All of these are one way until they get away from the cloverleaf...so City Diner is accessed by taking Causeway North to the SE service road (slow down as it's very near Causeway) and going around the block clockwise (Galleria)to W. Napoleon will get you back to Causeway...unless you're going to visit Nanette at Gatehouse...or going I-10 East.
I guess I'll see some of you there....and I did grow up in the neighborhood

LOL Jerry....
Getting into the parking lot really is a challenge. Get on the service road, and as SOON as you see LaQuinta, turn in!! Park...
Then look around and there it is.
Jason, if you go full service with the liquor license, please please please don't turn the place into a bar with bar food.
There are so many of those.
Nannette, I don't know what led you to Gatehouse, but my aunt lives there and loves it. You'll be really close now... and on my rare days off, RARE, lol, I go on Mondays to meet JAG and Shannon... and whoever is available is always invited and welcomed.
