I just got to Maine and the first thing my mother asked me after giving me a hug was "did you bring me anything from La Boca?" Good woman.

LOL what a hoot. bambam, this was a great review, as usual.

I think the best part of going to LaBoca is the company I've kept there. :)

I love the gnocchi and the asparagus - I've even done a really good job recreating it. But nothing can compare to their steaks, (and btw, one time with expat I got the pork chop... OMG - I know it's hard to pass up steak at LB, but trust me on this....)

I don't know what my problem is, but I can take or leave the french fries.

(JAG, thanks for the head's up. I thought I'd read it when I got to Florida yesterday afternoon, but the vodka was already flowing when I got here so I didn't even unpack.)
