Group: I know this place has daily special po-boys. I know they do the Cuban, excellent by the way, on Wed. The Dean writes that they do a turkey, dressing etc. po-boy once a week. He doesn't say which day.
The website doesn't reference specials. Does anyone know which special po-boys they do on which days? I like the food there and would like to try some of the specials. Thanks.
Jonathan

Jonathan,
Parkway does its Thanksgiving Po boy on Thursdays. The sandwich is a disaster, however. But I am not a huge fan of Tgiving food. So take my rec for what it's worth.

Thanks. I found out yesterday about the hot dog. The special on Monday's is a Chicago Hot Dog. Not my favorite b/c too much stuff. I had the same dog on french with chili, cheese and mustard. Good dog, good bread, bland, bland chili. A bit of hot sauce, ok more than a bit, and it was pretty good. I'd maybe stick to more "usual" stuff at Parkway. OTOH, the Wed. special of a Cuban really is good. Maybe Wed. is the day to eat there.

There isn't much reason to try anything else there. Their RB is the best po boy in the city.JRO wrote:I thought all they served there was roast beef

JRO, I'm a big fan of their seafood poboys... shrimp and oyster. They used to have a fried oyster-wrapped-in-bacon poboy, but I think that's off the menu postK. I never got to try it.
That's a good thing, though.
