Let's see. Saturday night...we did steaks and asparagus on the grill. Sunday..I have to say I outdid myself! I baked an apple pie! I can't figure out how to make my pics small enough to post on here...so, if anyone can explain this to me...I would appreciate it! They work everywhere else..not sure what the deal is. So..I baked an apple pie and made lasagna and a big ole caesar salad. Everyone was quite impressed with it. Especially me.

I was out of the loop and away from home this weekend so the stove stayed cold. The only decent meal I had this weekend was at Taqueria Sanchez on Williams in Kenner. The chips and salsa/piquante were good and the enchilada plate was good. It's not the greatest in history but is very good for the inexpensive prices. I hadn't been there but would go back.

too hot to cook.......pigged out on tomatoes from garden and salads and chips and salsa.....deli sammies.......

The only thing "cooked" was myself at the 4th of July thing at Bogue Falaya Park but that was greatly eased with cold beer and great fireworks.

Beautiful pictures. Your pie looks like a professionally made one!

I didn't cook this weekend, went out every night.

BTW Jag, I responded to your PM, I didn't see it till two days later.

On Sunday, I smoked baby back ribs with homemade rub over pecan wood. Sides were corn bread, watermelon, and Angelo Brocato's lemon ice. All of that was accompanied by a six pack of Heiner Brau Marzen.

Saturday did short ribs and risotto, green salad, ice cream topped with chocolate and orange peel sauce.
Sunday smoked two turkey leg quarters and did sandwiches and potato chips with side of greens.

thrilla from the grilla: pan fried blue gills caught that morning w/blue cheese and walnut brussels and roast potatoes, all done on the grill.
