Quick reports

Post by Yvette »

Went to Andrea's last week. I usually am not a hugh fan of his food. We were with a group, so they ordered all kinds of appetizers to split family style. Calamari-dry, too much breading, clam wrapped in eggplant then wrapped in bacon...just plain nasty, marinated shrimp-delicious, and two other things very unforgetable. Just horrible. Entree was shrimp pasta with lemon, caper, olive oil and Italian parsley. OMG, best dish I have had at Andrea's since he has been opened.

Bayona- had the rabbit stuffed with Italian sausage. Okay, I know, weird, did not come out as antipicated.

Vizzards- had the charcuterie and then the artisan cheese plate. Husband got the trout almondine. I was not all that hungry so I got the two appetizers. The cheese was very good, though I think the portion was on the small side. I keep forgetting to go to this place, will have to give them another try for real dinner. Chef came out to meet us, very nice guy. Waiter told him that we remembered him from his Indigo days.

Tried to go to Coquette last night. Place was packed, we didn't have a reservation. At 9:00 there was no tables available, not even outside...on a Thursday night!!! I will have to arrange to get there next week.

Looking forward to Iris tomorrow night.

Vizard's roast chicken is pristine! Do not miss this dish.
I remember him way back from Bayou Ridge.
After Mon & Tues, even the calendar says W-T-F!
