a lot of call centers considered this market due to cheap rents compared to the rest of the nation, but then they went elsewhere when they heard the potential employee base speak.

Which Winn Dixie is that?

personally, I avoid the DimWixie on Jeff Hwy near Shrewsbury for a multitude of reasons. The one on Airline west of Clearview is tolerable though. and for the winos, if you buy 6 bottles, they take off 10% per bottle.

JAG,
Shop at the Rouse's on Vets...the labor pool where you live may have too much chlorine.

Shop early ! The employees are nicer and older. I go to all the stores on the sliver, get my Coke at rouses, beef at whole foods, sale stuff in between, cheap veggies on the best bank.
The funniest ( i'm white, i think) was an African American woman in her 60's in front of me at Rouses, paying with a card, then some paper, then finally with coins from the very very bottom of her purse ( 2 magazines worth of reading for me ) all the while saying the nastiest things about the Mexican's and how they were stealing all the jobs. I made eye contact with our AA cashier and we started laughing our asses off ! She,the elder afformentioned shopper, had no clue we were laughing (shocked) at how rascist she was. Great humorous irony.

Was too tired to go to WalMart at 6am this morning. Just got back from there. Not crowded at all, put the groceries right on the belt. The cashier was terrible, horrible, pissed off and a real jerk. Ms. Cashier, I am soooo sorry I ruined your day by choosing your line and making you work.

I just don't know why the hell I bother. :(

I went to the Farmer's Market this afternoon.
Got some really great stuff!

Silver Queen Corn (OMG!) picked this morning, long green beans, eggplant, bell peppers.

Puttanesca Sauce made by Dan Esses that I tasted & thought was so good I had to buy some! Made with fresh creole tomatoes too!

Habenero Kettle Corn & Regular Kettle Corn, Stuffed Artichoke.

Had a fresh Mango Juice while I was shopping!
I bought some other stuff, just not remembering in this moment.

Everybody was not only civil, but friendly & sweet as pie!

Next Market is Saturday . . . several different neighborhoods, so find you one, dawlin!

On another note, I went to Dorignac's this week.

Was having a beverage in the dining area & a very loud, heated argument started between several employees. The manager was right there & a cop at his table. They did nothing. Then the table next to me, but the other direction had 2 girls talking. Vivid f-bombs & in a loud voice.

Sigh . . .

I am relatively satisfied with the Rouses on Power Blvd. The service is not as good as when they first opened, but everyone is still relatively nice and competent. It is much better then when it was a Sav-a-Center.

I quit going to Winn DickMe several years ago.
