While my short-term memory is fading, my long-term memory keeps recalling old thoughts. Today it's Russian Dressing.
My mother use to make a salad dressing from "scratch", for my father, which she called Russian Dressing. It was my father's favorite salad dressing. It was a creamy type, and I remember that two of the many ingredients were mayo and ketchup.
Does anyone know Russian Dressing, or have a recipe?

Was it relish? Or am I thinking about Thousand Island? Check the search engine at http://www.allrecipes.com

Thank you NoNo. Got the recipe(s) and a new website for reference.

Re: Russian Dressing
Russian dressing is the only use I have for ketchup. I don't put it on salad but it's great on a reuben. I mix about two parts mayonnaise to one part ketchup and thin it out with a little lemon juice. I also add some finely chopped onions and sometimes some Crystal hot sauce.
