sushi on a Monday evening

Post by LauraMc »

My niece and great-nephew are coming to town. My great-nephew loves sushi. I wanted to take him to Ninja but they are not open on Monday. What's another good place in the city to have sushi? I usually go to Little Tokyo on Causeway but I'd like to go into the city with them.

I love Little Tokyo on Carrollton (at Bienville).

I enjoy sushi as much as the next sushi lover. My main meal yesterday (Sunday) was at the all-you-can-eat sushi bar in the Atlantis Hotel/Casino, one of the best in Reno.

But when I once again get back to New Orleans, I have a current new list of great places (19 at present) you (y'all) have raved about, which I have not yet visited, from City Diner to Herbsaint. I won't even be considering sushi, chinese, or Tex-Mex, all of which I can get at home.

Bring me cajan/creole, shrimp/oysters, crawfish/crabs, po-boys/poor boys! Sorry if I got long-winded about this. :D

Shogun should be open.
Say hi to my friend Koichi, the manager.
We've been friends for over 25 years - he started me with the papaya trees!

Tell him where you get your hair done:toast:

We ended up at Sushi Brothers, a little wet from the sudden downpour, but the food was great. Had squid salad and an uptown roll. Niece ordered sushi by the piece (ocotopus and a few others) and great-nephew had a scallop roll that was good and a crawfish roll that was too hot for any of us to finish. thanks for the recommendations.

We like Hana in Riverbend. They have some new chefs there that have really picked it up. But I did pass by Saki Cafe on Magazine tonight and was reminded of how nice it was the last time we were there, which has been a while, but it is/was an upscale Sushi place with great presentation and very nice atmosphere. Another one of those places that makes me wonder why we don't go back more often. I think we may have too many restaurant options here. :toast:
