Noticed this article on CNN Website. Sort of addresses the issue of the large growth in the number of restaurants in NO, and how we need more diners in these tough times. Perhaps the increase in the "Value Coupon" is related to the intense competition of the dining dollar.

That article gives a good idea of what's going on with Mat and Naddies, and it apparently cites - without naming - Fitzmorris' count of restaurants. Beyond that, it doesn't provide too much info.
