Hubig's pies

Post by PNG »

I had given up on Hubig's Pies several years ago. Their fillings went from tasting like fruit to me to tasting like sugar paste. Their sweet potato used to be my favorite. I tried one of their blueberry pies the other day just to see. The blueberry did not taste like blueberry. It just tasted like sugar paste. I wish Hubig's would just sell their crust with no filling. I will have to continue to not care for Hubig's Pies after tasting the blueberry version.

The only ones I could ever stand were the lemon ones. I still like them but they aren't what they used to be and I can't eat wheat anymore anyway.
Now this is more like it.

As a Yankee (only been here 30 years), I have never understood the attraction of those Hubig's things. Guess you had to be here back when they were good.
